I preach a lot on the blog about how the right hair products can make or break your hair progression. Anyone who knows me knows how much effort I put into taking care of my hair. So much that I dedicated a whole section of my blog to helping others learn how to take care of their own. I had the pleasure of partnering with Formulate and doing a six week hair challenge using their hair products. Not only was the company great to work with, but they have a new customer in me.

What is Formulate?
Formulate is a hair brand that designs shampoo and conditioner specifically for you and your hair. All formulate hair products are sulfate, paraben, silicone, and cruelty free.
How does it work?
Formulate uses a hair wizard to formulate your customized hair products. See what I did there? How it works is, you answer a brief survey on their website about your hair. The survey asks detailed questions about the current state of your hair, products used, and any hair goals you may have. Once the survey is complete, the chemists at Formulate use your answers to design your shampoo and conditioner.
Is it worth it?
I honestly had the best experience using Formulate. The hair wizard was extremely easy to use, and my customized products arrived sooner than expected. When I initially started my six week hair challenge, my hair was dyed burgundy/red. I dyed it black a few weeks later and the chemists at Formulate were more than happy to create new products to go along with my new hair color. As for my hair health, I didn’t notice a drastic change in length, but my hair isn’t as dry as it was before. All in all, I give Formulate a solid 8 out of 10.
Before and after six week challenge.

Hi Sasha,
No, I do not. I’ll be posting a list of products I currently use within the next week or so.
