Do It Yourself Flaxseed Hair Gel From Home

I have another hair diy for you fabulous and frugal babes. Lately, I’ve become obsessed with making all natural hair products from home. While I’m not Madam CJ Walker, I am pretty good at reading and following directions (for the most part). My latest discovery is flaxseed gel. Some of my favorite youtubers swear by this stuff, so I decided to give it a try on my own.

Step 3. Place strainer on top of a container, and pour the mixture in. You can clean and reuse an old product container, if you’d like.

Step 4. Let the mixture cool, close the container with an air-tight lid, and refrigerate. The gel lasts 2 weeks refrigerated. It can last up to 3 weeks, if you add an essential oil to the mixture before refrigerating.

I’m currently dealing with that myself lol. Have you tried protein treatments and heavier hair products?

Wow, that’s so easy! I don’t think I’ve used flaxseed, but I’m very particular about scents, lol. Does this smell like anything?

Nope! It doesn’t have a scent to it at all. You can add certain essential oils to it, if you do want a particular scent.

I have never ever heard of such an easy product! I have the curliest and frizziest hair ever that often times gets put in a bun and forgotten about. I am going to try this and see if I can manage my curls and let my hair down for a change! Thanks so much!
