The diy slime experiment has officially made a comeback. After watching other children do it on Youtube Kids, this mama decided to go to her favorite place (Pinterest) for an easy to make recipe.
Ingredients
- 4 oz of Elmer’s Glue
- 1/2 tbsp Baking Soda
- 2-3 tbsp contact lens solution
- Food coloring
- Mixing bowls
- Stirring spoon
Directions
Step 1. Pour the glue in a bowl.
Step 2. Pour in 1/2 tbsp of baking soda and stir.
Step 3. Add food coloring.
Step 4. Pour 2-3 tbsp of contact lens solution and stir.
We made the mistake of putting the contact lens solution in before the food coloring and although it didn’t mess it up, it made it harder for the color to stick to the slime.
Step 5. Enjoy!
This is a pretty cheap and simple way to keep your kids occupied for a while and it’s a great science lesson. I know I was happy to see my girls play with something that didn’t need to be charged or connected to my WiFi for once.

I totally agree. I love technology-but I hate it for my child sometimes ? Its nice to see them create things themselves instead of watching someone else do it. Lol love this.
