Being a mom of two little girls with long curly hair can be exhausting. The twistout routine is our go to style. It’s convienent and the take down process doesn’t take long. I usually wash and style their hair on weekends and leave the style in for at least a week. You can read about our children’s wash routine here.
When doing a twist out, I put an oil in my hands before unraveling their twists. The Cantu Tea Tree and Jojoba Hair and Scalp Oil is currently my favorite. I start by unraveling each twist once until all of their hair is down. I then go in and unravel a second time if necessary. I use a hair pick to fluff their hair out, if it’s not as fluffy as I would like.
That’s it! This is a pretty easy and convenient way to do a twist out for days when you don’t want to completely wash and restyle your child’s hair. You can unraveled and pick your child’s hair as much or as little as you would like and dress it up with a bow or ribbon of your choice.
The twist outs turned out really good!
First of all yoir baby is so gorgeous and her hair!!!!! Love it. I’m not a big fan if cantu products since I feel like the shampoo strips my hair so that turned me off from their entire line. I’m still struggling to find the right moisturizer etc. I think I’m going to give the product you mention a try and see.
